The Prize

FIAM Italy is pleased to announce the 30th anniversary of the Ghost armchair, the product-icon designed by Cini Boeri in collaboration with Tomu Katayanagi. The company is celebrating this important milestone by involving the architects and designers of the great FIAM family in creating a Mini Ghost collection. These miniatures of the armchair of the same name have been reinterpreted in a decorating job. The artists were given a brush and three shades of paint - from azure to blue - to give free flow to their imagination and to directly decorate the glass surface of the Mini Ghosts.

Bartoli Design today continues the project that began in 1960 and has been realized through numerous collaborations with leading companies in the field of furnishing. Carlo Bartoli has exhibited his work in Italy and abroad: at the Triennale Design Museum in Milan, at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, at the Stadt Museum in Cologne as well as in New York, Prague, Hong Kong, Athens, and Buenos Aires. For FIAM Italia they designed the Ray and Ray Plus table, the Sahara table and the Rime table.

The work is made in two hand-decorated pieces: the one not at auction will be exhibited in the permanent FIAM ITALIA glass museum.

Each piece sold will be accompanied by a copy of the Ghost 30th Anniversary brochure.

Mini Ghost is made in Linea Azzurra transparent float glass, 5 mm thick. Dimensions: L 17.5 x W 15.5 x H 11 cm.
