Lionel Messi (Rosario, 24 June 1987) is an Argentine footballer, striker for Inter Miami and the Argentina national team, for which he is captain, South American 2021 champion and World Champion in 2022. Nicknamed La Pulga, he is considered one of the greatest footballers of all time. He is the second most prolific scorer in football history. He is the second player ever for team trophies won (42). Among the many individual awards he has racked up seven Golden Balls and six Golden Boots, as well as being elected best footballer of the decade 2011-2020 by the IFFHS.
