The Prize

Used by seven-time Formula One champion Michael Schumacher and one-time champion Nico Rosberg during the 2011 Formula One season. Made entirely from carbon fibre with a beautiful high gloss finish. Obtained directly from the Mercedes Formula One team.

The tea tray is a piece used at the front of the floor. See pictures to see yellow outline highlighting it. The part is marked using Mercedes F1 numbering system. D02 being the internal name used for 2011 W02 car. It also includes an inspection label from the team. Parts are inspected after race use to see if they have received damage and can be used again.

This is framed and ready to be hung. 55 x 45 cm (6 cm depth due to curve of tea tray).

The Cause

WellChild is the national charity for seriously ill children and their families. Thousands of children are living across the UK with serious or exceptional health needs. Many spend months, even years in hospital simply because there is no support enabling them to leave.

Through a nationwide network of children’s nurses, home and garden projects and family support services, WellChild helps get these children and young people safely home from hospital more quickly.

With the support of the charity’s Patron Prince Harry, WellChild supports and empowers families to care for their children safely at home. Its aim is to give these children and young people the best possible chance to thrive – at home, together with their families.
