Mario Schifano was an Italian painter and director.

Together with Franco Angeli and Tano Festa he represented an important figure in Italian and European Pop art. Perfectly placed on the international cultural scene of the sixties, he was considered an artist who was prolific, exuberant and a lover of worldliness. His lifelong drug habit earned him the label of cursed artist.

A passionate student of new painting techniques, he was among the first to use the computer to create works and process images to transfer to emulsified canvases (the "computerized canvases")

Schifano represents one of the most important and prolific artists of the second half of the twentieth century in Italy. His works, collected all over the world, are is a must for any collector!
