Official Suzuki Bike Day 2022 jersey signed by Davide Cassani and Carolina Kostner.

Davide Cassani, former professional cyclist, manager and sports commentator, and star athlete Carolina Kostner took part in the Suzuki Bike Day 2022 event held in Imola.

Davide Cassani won two stages of the Giro d'Italia, two team time trials at the Tour de France and took the blue jersey several times as a "running director". A television commentator for Rai, over the years he has become the voice of Italian cycling.
Since 2014 he has been coach of the Italian national road cycling team. After winning prestigious titles, he ended his appointment in 2021 with the second consecutive victory of Filippo Ganna in the World Time Trial and with the fourth European road title in a row, this time thanks to Sonny Colbrelli. These victories were the result of years of meticulous preparation with the support of Enervit Science, the official sponsor of the national team.

Carolina Kostner, Italian and international star of figure skating on ice, began skating at the age of four and her first success came in 2001, at the age of just 13, with victory in her first international competition.

Winner of the bronze medal at the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics, she has an impressive collection of medals to her credit: 2012 World Champion, medalist five more times at the World Championships, European champion five times, and medalist five other times at the European Championships, 9-time Italian champion.

The Cause

The BOF is an association based in Imola in the province of Bologna, a city known worldwide for its Autodrome where over the years it has hosted and still hosts international sporting events such as the Formula 1 Grand Prix or concerts by well-known musical groups/singers worldwide.

The Association also wants to support the "NeverGiveUp Memorial Nicola Ussia". The project was born in 2015 from the family's desire to remember Nicola, who died in 2009 of a heart attack. The goal is to raise awareness about the prevention of cardiovascular diseases. To do this, the association has organized an annual fundraiser. To date, with the money raised during the event, it has been possible to donate 7 defibrillators to some sports associations and educational institutions in the area.

Due to the CoronaVirus pandemic, the 6th NeverGiveUp Memorial Nicola Ussia could not take place in June. Despite this, thanks to the support of the BOF Association, a new initiative has been thought of: a charity auction of sports memorabilia whose proceeds will go towards the purchase of defibrillators.
