The Prize

Take home this royal blue Manchester United third shirt, the version for a match against Arsenal, for French midfielder Paul Pogba.

The game was played at the Emirates Stadium in London on March 10 2019 and ended in a 2-0 win to the Gunners.

Adidas has continued its collaboration with environmental initiative Parley for the Oceans by creating a Manchester United Football Club kit from recycled ocean plastic. The design of the club's third kit, which can be worn as an alternative to the home or away kits, makes reference to the 50th anniversary of the club's first European Cup Final success over Benfica in May 1968.

The navy blue shirt takes its colour from the royal blue kit worn by the team in the historic game. The shirt also pays homage to the cup final victory with gold detailing on the adidas logo and club crest.

Features:

  • Royal blue short-sleeved third shirt
  • Manchester United emblem on chest
  • Sponsored by Adidas
  • Premier League patch on right sleeve
  • Made with Parley for the Oceans technology
  • Name and number in smooth plastic lettering
  • Number 6
  • Size 7

This item was supplied to the squad for a match, was made available to the players on matchday and differs from the shirts found on general sale. It is possible that this shirt was worn by the player for the match and then washed afterwards but it cannot be guaranteed.

The Cause

Fondazione Laureus Italia Onlus, founded in 2005, operates in communities on the outskirts of large Italian cities.

The foundation's objective is to support young people living in challenging economic and social situations, using sports as an instrument of psychological-pedagogical support.

All the projects promoted by the foundation include the presence of educators and psychologists in the field in order to make sports activities a useful tool for reaching educational objectives.

Fondazione Laureus has created a network of area partners—including sports associations, schools, and third sector organizations—with which it creates sports-educational programs geared for young people through various initiatives. These initiatives create a community for helping children and youth in need.

Laureus guarantees the training of all coaches and social workers involved.

Since 2005, Fondazione Laureus Italia Onlus has obtained the following results: over 14 projects started up in Milan, Naples, Rome, Bari, Catania and Bologna; over 3,000 children supported; over 20 different sports activities; approximately 30 sports associations; over 20 schools and 20 third sector organizations involved; and 18 “sports legends” who support Laureus Italy initiatives.

Fondazione Laureus Italia Onlus plans, implements, monitors and directly evaluates all the projects through its staff made up of social educators, sports psychologists and project managers.
