The Women's Italy National Volleyball Team stood out throughout the 2018 World Championship held in Japan - taking home the silver medal.
The team triumphed over old rivals China and Japan, granting them access to the final against Serbia. The thrilling match ended in a 3-2 win to Serbia, already European and Olympic champion.
Paola Egonu, opposite spiker for Italy, scored a record 291 points - making her top scorer of the Women's World Championship 2018.
