The Prize

Spend a day with Guido Martinetti and participate in the selection of Grom's Taste of the Month.

By winning this auction you can decide, with Guido, Grom's flavor of the month, a taste of late summer/early autumn, which you can devote to those dearest to you.

You can also spend a day, together with a friend, at Mura Mura, 17 hectares in Costigliole of cultivated pears, figs, apricots, peaches, melons and strawberries. The farm is organic, with a total respect for the nature and its rules, without the use of products that are harmful to health.

The evening will begin with a dinner in the restaurant Guido in Santo Stefano Belbo. Guido personally chose the restaurant. The meal will be accompanied with a bottle of great Barolo. It does not end here: Guido, a wine expert, will tell specific anecdotes and stories about the world of wine, agriculture and business and you can spend a pleasant evening talking with him.

With this auction you will support with Guido NEVER GIVE UP, with the objective to raise the necessary funds to build a platform for young people and adults who have difficulty with food, weight and body image.

Conditions: the day, including dinner in the company of Guido Martinetti, will take place in May, according to the availability of the winner and Guido Martinetti. Travel expenses are paid by the winner and are not included in the final price of the auction.

The Cause

NEVER GIVE UP is a nonprofit organization committed to the research and treatment of Eating Disorders (ED).

It was founded in 2014 with the intention of developing innovative online and offline platforms to support teens - the population age range that is most affected by such disorders and that faces a number of difficulties asking for help from professionals. As well as this, their family members, friends and teachers also need support from professionals. What is most worrying is the fact that anorexia and bulimia are the leading causes of death from disease in adolescents aged 12 to 25 in Italy.

In Italy, 3,665,000 people are affected by ED, but it is believed that only 10% of those suffering from the above-mentioned disorders seek treatment services due to the lack of recognition or underestimation of symptoms, inability to ask for help, and fear of being judged.

NEVER GIVE UP was developed to break down this wall, inform, support and protect people, often youngsters, from online sites where chats and interactions unfortunately often conceal incitement attempts of anorexia and bulimia, thus exacerbating the disorder itself. Instead, NEVER GIVE UP has developed a site for positive sharing.
