Match issued Test jersey, signed and worn by Faletau for the official Lions 2021 squad headshots on player meeting day - the first time players meet ahead of the Tour and the day they wear the official kit for the very first time.

The three-time British & Irish Lions tourist burst onto the international stage at the 2011 Rugby World Cup as Wales reached the semi-finals. In a whirlwind introduction to Test rugby he then appeared in all five matches of Wales’ Grand Slam-winning 2012 Six Nations campaign. The No.8 established himself as one of Wales’ most consistent performers and was selected for his first Lions Tour in 2013 to Australia. He played a key role, starting the third and decisive Test, playing all 80 mins in the 41-16 victory.

In the Lions 2017 Tour to New Zealand, Faletau started all three Tests as the team claimed an historic drawn Series. He started six games and his try in the second Test was game-changing, as the Lions became the first side to beat the All Blacks in the Westpac since 2003. He was also at the forefront of a huge defensive effort in the final Test.

Since then, Faletau has grown in stature for club and country, becoming a real leader in attack and defence for Wales. He captained Wales against Italy in the 2018 Six Nations but a spate of injuries saw him miss out on 2019 Grand Slam success and Wales' run to the Rugby World Cup semi-finals. But Faletau returned to play a starring role in Wales’ 2021 Six Nations success, finishing with the third most carries and tackles. He also earned the Player of the Match award in the famous 40-24 win over England, securing the Triple Crown.
