Match issued Test jersey, signed and worn by Tadhg Beirne for the official Lions 2021 squad headshots on player meeting day - the first time players meet ahead of the Tour and the day they wear the official kit for the very first time.

Beirne is the latest Leinster academy graduate to make the jump to Lions selection. From County Kildare, he made just four appearances off the bench for Leinster before moving to the Scarlets in 2016. Tadhg developed into one of the most versatile forwards in Europe, capable of slotting in anywhere in the back five of the scrum. Despite having the height of a second row, Beirne is virtually unrivalled in his ability to turn the ball over, while he has the athleticism to pop up as a support runner and leave even backs in his wake. His influence was clear in helping the Scarlets to Guinness PRO12 glory in 2016/17, and the following year, his last with the Welsh region, he was named Player’s Player of the Season. Those performances led to a move back to Ireland, joining Munster in 2018 and making his international debut that summer. Tadhg came off the bench against Australia, featuring in both victories in the historic 2-1 Series win.

After being part of the 2019 World Cup squad, he then suffered an ankle injury, but in 2021 he took his opportunity as perhaps Ireland’s best player in the Six Nations. He was one of just two forwards to start every game, initially in the second row, before switching to blindside flanker and then back to lock. His 10 turnovers were the most of any player in the Championship, while he also grabbed a couple of tries and was key to Ireland’s rejuvenated lineout.

Get your hands on this official Lions Test jersey; unwashed and signed, this is a special memento, complete with certificate of authenticity.
