The Prize

He is one of the greatest chefs in the world and when he holds cooking classes they are always sold out. Oldani defines himself as a "pop" cook because his popular style of cooking «comes from the desire to mix the essential with excellence, make good quality accessible and combine innovation with tradition. He loves to take high quality raw materials and make good food accessible to everyone.
He is the only big name chef to offer a 11.50 euro menu at lunchtime at his D’O restaurant in Cornaredo near Milan, Italy.

The lesson for two people (winner and guest) will take place at D'O restaurant on a date to be mutually agreed and redeemed within 6 months of auction closing. This will be a morning lesson from 10am to 12pm (approx.).

The Cause

The Fondazione De Marchi works on the following fronts:

Global assistance for children and their families via multidisciplinary teams that provide medical and psychosocial support;

Research incentives in the form of scholarships/grants for young medical doctors;

Purchase of medical treatment devices to improve patient care; Training and refresher courses for medical, nursing and psychosocial personnel assisting children;

Assistance from volunteers who entertain children in the Pediatric Oncology ward;

Restructuring and furnishing of inpatient and day hospital wards for accommodating families in a warm, comfortable setting;

Organization and financing of therapeutic vacations for our patients, assisted by medical and paramedical personnel;

Organization of recreational activities during the year.
