Durante il match contro la Sampdoria, disputato sabato 14 dicembre allo Stadio Luigi Ferraris di Genova, il Genoa CFC è sceso in campo con una maglia con una patch speciale, dedicata all'Ospedale Gaslini, il più grande ospedale pediatrico del nord Italia, con i suoi 22 edifici e oltre 2mila persone tra personale medico, universitario, ricercatori, specializzati e infermieri.

Queste maglie sono state utilizzate esclusivamente in occasione del Derby della Lanterna e non saranno più riproposte, pertanto rappresentano veri oggetti da collezione.

The Cause

Gaslininsieme is the Foundation that organizes the collection of donations destined for the Giannina Gaslini Institute, one of the largest and most important pediatric polyclinics in Europe. Gaslininsieme's mission is to support scientific research and Gaslini assistance, contribute to the structural, technological and digital improvement of the hospital, to the humanization of its environments and to the welcome for families.

Founded in 1938 by Gerolamo Gaslini in memory of his daughter Giannina to ensure the best possible care for children, the Giannina Gaslini Institute welcomes and treats thousands of young patients every year from all over Italy and from over 70 countries around the world. Gaslini is today a Scientific Hospitalization and Treatment Institute of international excellence, specialized in highly complex treatments, disabling pathologies, rare and chronic diseases, where all the pediatric and surgical specialties.

Every donation, even a small one, can make a difference to help support a large hospital, which, with great passion and competence, carries out the most beautiful and difficult job in the world: studying, assisting and treating children's illnesses.
