The artist

Roberto Re is an artist from the Emilia region in Italy active on the Italian scene. He has exhibited in several group exhibitions, and taken part in numerous contemporary art fairs.

Critical note

Form is a temporary state of the material, a container that can be subjected to modulations and decompositions from the outside as well as from the inside. Centripetal and centripetal forces of natural and artificial mechanisms act on the form to make it consistent with its content and its container, to "accommodate" it in the space-time requirements of reality, which register genuine amorphous states as errors or alterations of the order. If the latter was initially a priority characteristic of the artefex culture, which developed centuries of history with an art becoming ever more beautiful than the natural state of things, over the last two centuries of human creativity it has been overwhelmed by an inevitable return of nature to the artificial human life, discovering the shapeless biological basis that hides every material. This led to a break from beautiful art and set off a wave of avant-garde that in the 1900s upset the aesthetic world to the point of eliminating the form in it. Indicative of this was the Cubist research that offered a geometric fragmentation of things towards their true substance, as demonstrated by the Section d'Or, or the harmony of natural proportions. It is thanks to Juan Gris, whose orphism brought colors, dynamism and simultaneity in the way of the "cubisteurs", that the post-cubist painter from Parma Roberto Re began his research into the golden ratio. Research that is nourished by scientific certainties of universal importance.
