Simon Kjær is a Danish footballer, defender for AC Milan and the Danish national team where he is captain. After his debut with Midtjylland, he played for Palermo, Wolfsburg, Roma, Lille, Fenerbahçe, Sevilla and Atalanta, before joining AC Milan in 2020. With the national team he has competed in two world championships and two European championships. In 2009 and 2021 he was named Danish Footballer of the Year.
