Giuffrida has signed the judogi on the back, making it unique.

Odette Giuffrida began practicing judo at the age of six. In 2009 he made her international debut in the cadet category, winning gold in the European Championships and the European Olympics and silver at the World Championships. In 2016 she qualified for the Rio Olympics where she won a silver medal in the 52 kg category.

The Cause

“WE RUN TOGETHER – Supporting our team” is a sports initiative supporting two hospitals that have been at the heart of the fight against Covid-19, the Papa Giovanni XXIII in Bergamo and the Fondazione Poliambulanza in Brescia. The funds raised from the auctions will go to the medical and nursing staff of these two hospitals that have tirelessly looked after Coronavirus patients in recent months.

This campaign has received the extraordinary support and blessing of Pope Francis who is actively involved in the initiative by donating some of his own personal highly valuable and prestigious sports items. Besides the Pope, many internationally renowned athletes, companies and sports clubs have joined the cause because we’re stronger together.

WE RUN TOGETHER is promoted and organized by four organizations that have always been committed to promoting the value of sport as a tool for inclusion, sharing, dialogue and peace. These organizations are:

  • Atheltica Vaticana, the first sports club in Vatican City
  • Sports group Fiamme Gialle (Guardia di Finanza)
  • “Cortile dei Gentili”, department of the Pontifical Council for Culture (VA) to promote dialogue between believers and non-believers
  •  FIDAL-Lazio, Lazio region Athletic Federation.
