Takashi Murakami is a Japanese artist, sculptor and painter. One of the best-known artists on the international scene, in 2008 Time magazine defined him as the most influential representative of contemporary Japanese culture. His works, inspired by the themes and styles close to the mass iconography of his country, are monumental icons of the culture and society of contemporary Japan.
