Guns N' Roses is an American hard rock band from Los Angeles, California, formed in 1985 by vocalist Axl Rose, lead guitarist Slash, rhythm guitarist Izzy Stradlin, bassist Duff McKagan, and drummer Steven Adler.

The band became hugely popular in just two years after the release of “Welcome to the Jungle.” With singer Axl Rose's unusual voice and powerful musical to back it up, the song became an instant hit.

The Cause

Music Support is a charity that helps peers who work in UK music and live events affected by mental ill-health and/or addiction.

Founded in 2016 by people from within the music industry, our team have all been impacted personally by these issues and have seen friends, colleagues and heroes lose their careers, families and even their lives.

Our mission is to ensure that our peers do not feel alone. We encourage prevention and early intervention but when required, provide effective and timely help to initiate and maintain recovery.   

The Global pandemic continues to have a major impact on both Music Support, through a shortfall in our funding streams, and our beneficiaries hit hard by uncertainty, fear, isolation and financial hardship.

We experienced a 60% increase in call volume to our confidential Helpline during the pandemic, greater demand for our training in Mental Health First Aid and the formation of a new workshop dedicated to Addiction and Recovery Awareness, proving how essential our core services are.

We rely on funds to help to continue our vital work.
