You can provide a child from the Cometa Oliver Twist School with the in-depth evaluation of learning, attention and behavioral difficulties he/she urgently requires.

You will be ensuring he/she receives a personalized learning program for a full year, including counseling, coaching, psychological assistance and learning support.

The Oliver Twist School opened in 2009 and offers 4-year professional training courses (in Textiles, Woodwork and Catering) for students aged between 14 and 19 years of age. It provides experimental learning programs that aim to get children back to school through manual work, employing a model that combines school and the workplace in order to offer work as an opportunity for learning. The School is part of the Cometa project: a physical space with a social and family context that provides a learning environment for its students.

The Cause

COMETA is made up of a group of families committed to helping children and young adults and their families to allow them to appreciate the beauty of life.

It all started in 1986: out of a positive meeting came the willingness to foster a child. In 1992, an old farmhouse just outside Como became a community center. Over time, a network has grown of over 50 foster families who have opened their hearts and shared the Cometa experience. Every day after school more than one hundred children and young adults in the area find a team of Cometa teachers and educators who help them study and provide expressive, recreational and sports activities promoting support and growth.
