You can support a child in need who is attending the Cometa “Casa per Crescere”, every afternoon for a year.

You will be ensuring that he/she is assisted by an educator who will help him/her to develop thanks to numerous educational, artistic and sports activities.

The Cometa “Casa per Crescere” ("Home for Growing") is a space that welcomes children who would normally be at home alone during the afternoon without anyone to help them with their daily tasks (doing homework, playing with other children and growing up happily). The Casa per Crescere is open every day from 11.30am to 7pm, opening its doors to 130 children and teenagers to offer them an environment that feels like a home that can support learning, thanks to the presence of professional educators and a team of experts. Learning support, expressive, recreational and sports activities offer an opportunity for growing together.

The Cause

COMETA is made up of a group of families committed to helping children and young adults and their families to allow them to appreciate the beauty of life.

It all started in 1986: out of a positive meeting came the willingness to foster a child. In 1992, an old farmhouse just outside Como became a community center. Over time, a network has grown of over 50 foster families who have opened their hearts and shared the Cometa experience. Every day after school more than one hundred children and young adults in the area find a team of Cometa teachers and educators who help them study and provide expressive, recreational and sports activities promoting support and growth.
