Spanish painter, printmaker and set designer. His works are part of the experimental and conceptual trends of the 70s, such as performance, and are characterized by his particular iconography and the use of unconventional materials.

Frederic Amat's dedication to painting has not stopped him exploring other horizons, traveling with insatiable curiosity through life, its geography and the different forms of artistic expression. His art bears the stamp of North Africa, Mexico, New York and India.

Frederic Amat is a painter whose work eschews one single form of categorization. His work has been exhibited and published around the world. His open conception of painting has led him to integrate multiple artistic languages into his creative work.
