This auction is for a photo autographed by the former US President, James Earl Carter Junior, with his wife Eleanor Rosalynn Smith Carter. He was in office from 1977 to 1981 .

Formerly governor of Georgia, in 1976 Carter won the Democratic nomination and, in the next election, defeated Republican Gerald Ford, who replaced Nixon after the Watergate scandal forced him to resign.
