Loredana Carmela Rosaria Bertè, was born in Bagnara Calabra. Moving to Rome in the 1960s, she entered the world of music with her older sister Domenica Berté (aka Mia Martini) and her friend Renato Fiacchini, (aka Renato Zero).

Since the 1970s she has established herself as one of the most famous and multifaceted artists on the Italian music scene. Loredana is a fully rounded artist, being an actress of musical and theater, a dancer, a mime artist ...

Loredana had her first hits in 1974 with her LP "Streaking", the single "Volevi un amore grande" and then the hit song "Sei bellissima".

She went on to release songs including "Dedicato", written by Ivano Fossati, "E la luna bussò", the first reggae song ever published in Italy inspired by a performance by Bob Marley, "Non sono una signora", "In questa città", "Ufficialmente dispersi", "Mi manchi"...

In 1995, the loss of her sister Mia Martini deeply affected her and Loredana was inspired to create some of her most emotional songs.

In the 2000s Loredana moved to theater, TV and collaborations with various artists including J-Ax, Fedez, Emma, ​​Antonacci, Boomdabash ...
