Sull'artista

Peter Carl Fabergé (San Pietroburgo, 30 maggio 1846 – Losanna, 24 settembre 1920), di origine francese, è stato un gioielliere e orafo russo. Le Uova Fabergé sono delle opere di gioielleria realizzate come uova di Pasqua e ideate presso la corte dello zar di tutte le Russie da Peter Carl Fabergé, della omonima compagnia, fra il 1885 e il 1917, con l'uso di metalli e pietre preziose. Il primo uovo risale al 1885, quando Fabergé presentò la prima di queste creazioni allo zar Alessandro III, divenendo il gioielliere più famoso del mondo.
