Roberto Casiraghi was born in Milan on November 19, 1957. He graduated from the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in 1979 with a thesis on Robert Ryman and from 1975 to 1982 he worked as Gianni Colombo's assistant.

He started exhibiting in 1979. Recent personal exhibitions include: Pavilion of Contemporary Art, Palazzo Massari, Ferrara 2002 - Palazzo Pretorio, Chiavenna 2003 - Biblioteca Salita dei Frati, Lugano 2005 - Palazzo Opesso, Chieri 2009 - Museo della Permanente, Milan 2016.

He lives and works in Calvignasco near Milan and has been teaching Chromatology at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts since 2007.

This lot is part of the #MolaMia artists initiative in support of Bergamo Hospital involving over 20 contemporary Italian artists who have joined forces for a fundraising campaign to fight the coronavirus emergency that has seriously affected the city and the province of Bergamo.
