Ed “Too Tall” Jones is a retired American football player who played fifteen seasons for the Dallas Cowboys. He was the first football player from a historically black college (Tennessee State University) to be drafted at the number one spot in the NFL draft. During his career, Jones was known as one of the most dominant defensive players in the league, playing in 16 playoff games and 3 Super Bowls. Jones helped the Dallas Cowboys win Super Bowl XII against the Denver Broncos.
