The Prize

This auction is for boarding passes from ED Force One used by Iron Maiden, they have been mounted and signed by the band.

Personally donated by Iron Maiden manager Rod Smallwood and Phantom Music Managing Director Dave Shack, this is an extremely rare item of Iron Maiden memorabilia from their 2016 Book of Souls World Tour.

Ed Force One started as a Boeing 757 aeroplane, commissioned by Iron Maiden for their Somewhere Back in Time World Tour in 2008 and 2009. The aeroplane was converted into a combi configuration, which enabled it to carry the band, their crew and stage production, thereby allowing the group to perform in countries which were previously deemed unreachable logistically. The Ed Force One plane used for The Book Of Souls was a Boeing 747- a massive four engine jet, which is almost twice the size and over three times the weight of the plane used on previous tours. It flew the band, crew and over 12 tons of equipment more than 55,000 miles (88,500km) around the planet with concerts in six of the seven continents (Australasia, Asia, North and South America, Africa and Europe).

Includes an image of the latest Ed Force One over Table Mountain, Cape Town, a headrest from Ed Force One signed by all six members of Iron Maiden, and 7 individual Ed Force One Boarding Passes signed by passengersBruce Dickinson, Steve Harris, Dave Murray, Janick Gers, Adrian Smith, Nicko McBrain, and their long term manager Rod Smallwood.

Iron Maiden are a British heavy metal band formed in Leyton, East London, in 1975. Iron Maiden are considered one of the most successful heavy metal bands in history, with The Observer reporting in 2015 that the band have sold over 90 million copies of their albums worldwide.

Rod Smallwood and Dave Shack have donated this auction to the Heavy Metal Truants to support Nordoff Robbins, Childline & Teenage Cancer Trust
