Dress worn by Carolyn Smith for fourth episode of the television program "Dancing with the Stars" 2021, aired on Rai1 on Saturday November 6, 2021.

The dancer and judge has decided to donate this dress to support a very noble cause with proceeds going to Dermopathic Institute of the Immaculate IRCCS as part of the Dance fashion for Charity project.

Dress by Flashdance.

Kimono style dress made in Emerald dance crepe. Long batwing sleeves with side slits. Decorated on edges with Emerald and Fern Green rhinestones, with the addition of PennySequins Emerald. Belt in Metallic Lycra Emerald with Emerald macramé, rhinestones and stones.

The Cause

Sappiamo quanto l’esperienza del Covid abbia segnato le nostre vite; questo è vero per tutti, ma esistono delle categorie di persone fragili che hanno sofferto maggiormente.

In questi mesi il pensiero di Carolyn Smith, celebre ballerina e giudice del programma Rai 1 Ballando con le stelle, è spesso andato ai malati oncologici, e alle loro difficoltà a ricevere cure adeguate durante la pandemia.

Un tema che Carolyn conosce bene poiché lo vive sulla propria pelle.

Per questa ragione ha lanciato l’iniziativa Dance fashion for Charity, con l’obiettivo di acquistare nuove attrezzature oncologiche a favore dell’IDI di Roma, duramente colpito dalla pandemia.

È possibile partecipare in due modi: acquistando attraverso un’asta di beneficenza uno degli abiti che Carolyn indosserà durante le puntate di Ballando con le Stelle, oppure facendo una donazione libera a supporto del progetto.

Ogni abito di Ballando è stato disegnato da un diverso atelier per raccontare in forme differenti il mondo del ballo.
