The Prize

This jersey is hand signed by Dennis Rodman.

Rodman played for the Detroit Pistons, San Antonio Spurs, Chicago Bulls, Los Angeles Lakers, and Dallas Mavericks. He was nicknamed "the Worm" and is famous for his fierce defensive and rebounding abilities.

He earned NBA All-Defensive First Team honors seven times and won the NBA Defensive Player of the Year Award twice. He also led the NBA in rebounds per game for a record seven consecutive years and won five NBA championships.

His biography at NBA.com states that he is "arguably the best rebounding forward in NBA history". On April 1, 2011, the Pistons retired Rodman's No. 10 jersey, and he was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame later that year.

The Cause

Beyond Freedom is a survivor run nonprofit organization, founded by Jennelle Gordon, that focuses on bring awareness, aid, and an end to human sex trafficking. The organization first formed in the Spring of 2017 at Orange Coast Community College as a club. In 2018, the club became the nonprofit organization that it is today. The organization differs from other human sex trafficking organizations in that it was created by a survivor for victims who then become survivors themselves. Beyond Freedom focuses on 5 E’s: Educate, Elevate, Empower, Equip and Enlighten.

Beyond Freedom aims to bring awareness to human sex trafficking, to educate and get people involved in the solution to human sex trafficking, and to help victims become survivors and eventually thrivers.
