Add this photo of Davie Bowie by Jeffery Mayer to your collection today!

This iconic photograph was taken at his infamous show at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium on October 20, 1972, often considered to be his American breakthrough—in part because the show was recorded for a radio broadcast and was a prized bootleg for years until being officially released. 2022 marks the 50-year anniversary of his American debut – and this image may well be the most iconic shot from that debut concert!

  • Certificate of Authenticity
  • Gallery price: $1200

Jeffrey Mayer has had a 50+ year career documenting pop culture and shaping how we saw our rock and roll icons! After seeing The Beatles at Shea Stadium in 1965, Jeffrey got “the bug” and mastered the art of photography and storytelling through his images. Mayer’s unique photo archive has grown to become among the most comprehensive in the music industry and here-to-date known only to music industry insiders. The photos in the collection have never been printed, and most have not been seen since they graced the pages of rock and roll’s fabled magazine era decades ago.

Jeffrey's images have appeared in ALL major music magazines and on albums including Led Zeppelin’s “How The west was Won”, Pat Benatar “Get Nervous” album cover, Ten Years After “Live’ album cover to name a few….

His images are found in the now legendary official book, Led Zeppelin By Led Zeppelin (2018) from Reel Art Press, The Grateful Dead book, “Eyes Of The World”, the list goes on and on even to music videos to publicity shots for all the major labels and bands.
