Christopher Clive Froome, OBE (born 20 May 1985) is a British road racing cyclist for UCI ProTeam Team Sky.

He is the reigning Tour de France, Giro d'Italia and Vuelta a España champion and one of the most successful riders in the history of the Tour de France, having won it four times – in 2013, 2015, 2016 and 2017.

Meanwhile Manchester City Football Clubs first team doctor Max Sala, is taking on the Race Across America which is a gruelling 12 day challenge, seeing him travel over 3000 miles across 12 different states – one of the toughest bike riding events in the world.

Max is taking on this challenge all in aid of City in the Community’s One City Disability programme and all the money raised from this auction will go towards funding this amazing programme so we can continue to make a difference.

The Cause

Manchester City's charity, City in the Community, has launched a new fundraising initiative Healthy Goals empowering healthier lives through football.

Profits raised will uplift the physical and mental health of young people by creating new community football spaces in Manchester, where the charity's youth-led programmes can also be delivered.

Manchester City is bolstering the Healthy Goals initiative by matching all donations made before the fundraising window closes in September 2023, pound-for-pound. Overall, City Football Group will contribute a maximum of £125,000 (GBP) to City in the Community through this campaign or £500,000 (GBP) in total for all City Football Group affiliated charities participating in the campaign (whichever comes first).
