Polisportiva Dinamo s.r.l., better known as Dinamo Sassari, is an Italian basketball club based in Sassari. In the top flight since the 2010-11 season, Dinamo was the first Sardinian club to win the Scudetto in basketball at the end of the 2014-15 championship, a trophy that came after two consecutive Italian Cups (2014 and 2015), and two Super Cups in 2014 and in 2019. In 2019, on winning the FIBA Europe Cup, they became the first Sardinian team to win an international title in any Olympic sport.

For some years the players have been nicknamed The Giants (in Sardinian: Sos gigantes / Is gigantis) in reference to the giants of Mont'e Prama, a group of stone statues from the Nuragic era, which have become one of the symbols of Sardinian archeology and culture.

The first team is known as Dinamo Banco di Sardegna Sassari due to a sponsorship agreement with the bank of the same name.

The Cause

Since 1982 Voce Amica Sassari odv, originally founded as a suicide prevention center, has been listening to anyone who is feeling lonely or is in a fragile emotional state.

The free daily service is one of the tools that can help to combat emotional isolation, overcome tensions and rediscover well-being in personal relationships. It promotes empathic listening as a factor in achieving emotional health and overcoming loneliness.
