Gresini Racing is a motorcycle racing team currently competing in the MotoGP World Championship with Aprilia under the names Aprilia Racing Team Gresini as Aprilia's factory-supported team, the Moto2 World Championship as Federal Oil Gresini Moto2, the Moto3 World Championship under the name Indonesian Racing Gresini Moto3, and the MotoE World Cup as Indonesian E-Racing Gresini MotoE. The team also competes in CIV Moto3 under the name Junior Team Total Gresini Moto3.

The team was founded in 1997 by Fausto Gresini, a two-time 125cc world champion, after the end of his racing career. He died in 2021 with the team continuing under his widow Nadia Padovani.

The Cause

BOF is an association based in Imola in the province of Bologna. Imola is known worldwide for its racetrack which has hosted international sporting events such as the Formula 1 Grand Prix or concerts of well-known musical groups / singers worldwide.

This year, in addition to what has just been described, the association also wants to support the "NeverGiveUp Memorial Nicola Ussia". This project was born in 2015 from the family's desire to remember the father Nicola, who died in 2009 from a heart attack. The aim of NeverGiveUp is to raise awareness about cardiovascular diseases prevention. Every year the association organizes a fundraising event. Thanks to the money collected during the event, 7 defibrillators were donated to local Sports Associations and Educational Institutes.

However, due to the CoronaVirus pandemic, the 6th NeverGiveUp Memorial Nicola Ussia will not be able to take place in June. Nonetheless, thanks to the support of the BOF Association, a new initiative was conceived: a charity auction of sports memorabilia whose proceeds will be destined for the "Spesa Solidale" and the purchase of a new defibrillator.
