"Breathe" artwork by Alessandro Malossi.

Year: 2020
Dimensions: 80 x 80 cm
Technique: Lambda print mounted between Plexiglas and Dibond

The world has stopped, quarantine on a global scale seems to have paralyzed our society but if we observe through Alessandro Malossi's eyes we can see that the world has begun to breathe again. Thanks to the interruption of industrial activities, nature has recovered and has taken center stage once more: plants and animals have invaded urban territories and the seas are clear.

This work is an invitation to reflect on the effect that human activities have on our planet, a plea to treat it better. After donating a work in support of WWF Italy for the Australia emergency, Alessandro wanted to make his contribution in this time of crisis, choosing to support the Umberto Veronesi Foundation.

This is a unique piece in a 80 x 80 cm format mounted between Plexiglas and Dibond.

Born in 1993, Alessandro Malossi is an Italian illustrator, painter and tattoo artist. He was born with an eye for color and began to draw the irregular skyscape of the city of Bologna that he saw outside his window. In 2016, Alessandro made another leap when his art met fashion and he started working for leading international brands, becoming the artist that they all want. He digitally reproduces his own series of accessories that are brilliantly positioned on the market with the aim of creating a collection of "his animals".

Each brand has its own animal: Gucci a parrot, Balenciaga an elephant and Dior a rhino, alongside many others. This year Alessandro has joined the team of artists belonging to the IMAGO Art Gallery in Lugano.
