Vintage wine is not to be considered as a product to be tasted, but as an emotion to give that brings with it the memories of a past time.
It is first and foremost a collector's work, with high antique value and only later, if you are lucky, a wine to taste.
Valtellina Perlavilla, like all vintage wines in general, is subject to a multitude of variables that condition aging with the passing of time so as not to guarantee its drinkability, the only way to understand if it is still drinkable is to uncork it.
The Tona Winery was founded in 1892 by Giovanni Tona; the headquarters are at the cellar of the "Rest Home Stefano Bongioni" in the center of the village of Villa di Tirano.
Operations began with the trade of eggs, butter and local wines on the local territory. Around 1910 "Tona" began the construction of the new headquarters in via Brebbia.
Please note: Preserved professionally for over 40 years in a special cellar, this is a collector's bottle, therefore the quality of the wine cannot guaranteed.
Dottor Sorriso Onlus was founded in 1995 with the mission of making children's hospital stays more pleasant by giving them back their smile with Clown Therapy. Thanks to the support of private individuals, businesses and institutions, the foundation achieves its mission by having professional clowns carry out their work inside hospitals and rehabilitation centers, in strict collaboration with the medical professionals. The Dottor Sorriso clowns currently operate in 29 pediatric wards, 18 hospitals and 3 rehabilitation institutes, bringing smiles to more than 30,000 children every year, in 12 provinces all over Italy.
Dottor Sorriso Onlus was the first organization in Italy to even introduce Clown Therapy to rehabilitation institutes, to bring smiles and laughter to children affected by intellectual and motor disabilities. At the same time, over the years, the foundation has created a series of international projects in support of other organizations operating in difficult or emergency settings such as Macedonia, Afghanistan, Ukraine, Romania, India, Palestine and Burkina Faso.
