Banksy 'Blak Twang 2002' Rare unused promotional poster
Produced as in-store advertising but unused for the release of Blak Twang, Trixstar record featuring Est'elle. Photography by Steve Lazarides, artwork by Banksy.
Steve Lazarides says: "I photographed the portraits that Banksy created the stencils from for these record sleeve artworks. Back before Deptford was gentrified, Black Twang stalked its streets. He released records on Wall of Sound’s Bad Magic hip-hop label, where Banksy made the artwork. And that’s the story of how Black Twang and Est’elle got Banksy stencil portraits of themselves when hardly anyone else has. Here they are, adorning the promo poster for Twang’s Trixstar single."
