The Prize

The “Street Art Is Dead” poster picks up the theme of posters that Mr. Savethewall distributed around the city of Milan in 2019 for the unauthorized Banksy exhibition at Mudec. It is an impossible-to-find piece.

A contemporary street artist with controversial messages who does not paint on the walls, Mr. Savethewall is the contemporary artist who launches strong, often provocative messages of criticism of modern society through his works, giving his personal vision of society, ranging from the world of culture to advertising, politics and religion. The artist is never boring and never leaves the viewers of all ages and social backgrounds indifferent, but is always surprising and exciting.

Though he does not paint on the walls, Mr. Savethewall can be considered a member of the Street Art movement because he attaches his works to walls in a non-permanent way using adhesive tape. He is against illegal or subversive acts on unauthorized public walls, vehicles or equipment and the structural supports for his works are simple, widely used and often recycled materials, such as cardboard, wood and metal. His choice displays respect for what is public, belonging to the community.
