Banksy Authentic Di-faced Tenner £10 Note 2004

£10 note Di-Faced by Banksy where Lady Di's face takes the place of that of the Queen Mother (also marked "Banksy of England").

And the motto: "I Promise to Pay the Bearer on Demand the Ultimate Price." The back features Darwin's image and the statement: "Trust No One." This is an offset lithograph in colors on paper.

These bills, originally distributed free of charge to the crowd at the Notting Hill Carnival and the Reading Festival in 2004, are today emblematic of BANKSY's work. The British Museum has in its collections a bill identical to the one we offer for sale.

The banknotes produced by BANKSY were produced in high-quality offset printing on special paper. The patterns are made up of multicolored rosettes that cover the entire surface. You can see from the close-up pictures that it is not a cheap re-reprint but an original.

About Banksy

Known for his anti-authoritarian art, often done in public places, Banksy is an anonymous graffiti artist who merged graffiti art with installation and performance art.
