Anthony Pettis is a retired American mixed martial artist who is best known for his time competing in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). He became the WEC Lightweight Champion in his final fight with the organization, famously executing a "Showtime kick" off the cage to defeat Benson Henderson. Pettis continued his success in the UFC, winning the UFC Lightweight Championship in 2013 and defending the title once before eventually moving to the UFC Featherweight division.
