The Prize
CharityStars presents a collection of 15 artworks that lead us in an exceptional modern and contemporary art tour. Of these, 11 are unique and original pieces that come from prestigious private collections. Foundamental is the presence of Fausto Melotti with a gypsum artwork. Then Adami, Pisani Baratella, Rapetti Mogol, Caffé, Cascella, Raimondi, Aulestia, Gonzaga e Del Vecchio, in a fascinating mix of artists between the 19th and 20 Century. In the end, some beautiful exemples of multiplied art from Oldenburg, Rotella, Henry and Topor.
Watercolor on cardboard. Year 1953. The dimensions are 48x67 cm. It is a work of Aldo Raimondi (Rome 1902 - Milan 1997) depicting the Port of Barcelona in the fifties. Raimondi is the largest Italian figurative watercolorist and one of the greatest of the twentieth century. He was considered the official portrait painter of the Vatican. He performed the official portraits of three popes: Pius XII, John XXIII and Paul VI and was named to portray some of the most important figures of the twentieth century, such as Vittorio Emanuele III, Evita Peron and Charles De Gaulle.
