"Air Space" by Manuel Bonfanti, 2020.

Manuel Bonfanti was born in Bergamo on January 22, 1974 and lives and works between Bergamo and Kazan.

He graduated from the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan where he attended courses taught by Luciano Fabro and Alberto Garutti. As part of the Erasmus project he studied fashion design in Finland at the Jyuvaskila Politechknic, where he furthered his studies on Aalvar Alto and symbolism in Nordic art.

"Aria del sublime" is the title of the 2017 exhibition that was held at the Adriano Bernareggi Museum, putting on display various 3-meter canvases and a short film entitled "Eyes" by Alberto Nacci to communicate the idea of ​​the air that comes between us and what we may see.

Manuel Bonfanti is the curator of the permanent The tube One art project at the Papa Giovanni XXIII Hospital in Bergamo and ArtOzone at the Italian Society of Oxygen Ozone Therapy, Comunian Clinic, Multiossigen in Gorle, near Bergamo.

This lot is part of the #MolaMia artists initiative in support of Bergamo Hospital involving over 20 contemporary Italian artists who have joined forces for a fundraising campaign to fight the coronavirus emergency that has seriously affected the city and the province of Bergamo.
