The Spitfire, which was produced in greater quantities than any other British airplane, is a symbol of Britain's aerial dominance before, during, and after the Second World War. From a seat inside a multi-seat, approved passenger aircraft or helicopter, you may observe why as a Spitfire flies past your window and makes you smile. When the Spitfire maneuvers around your plane with its trademark ease, you can enjoy beautiful views of the Eyebrook Reservoir and the surrounding countryside as you fly around. Keep your camera close at hand for some incredible air-to-air pictures!

Fly with a WW2 Spitfire in close formation, in a multi-seat, certified passenger aircraft
40 minute flight experience (30 with the Spitfire) in the same airspace the Battle of Britain was fought

Minimum age: 12 (under 18’s need to be accompanied by a paying adult)

Spectators are welcome, but will need to pay to enter the airfield. The entrance fee will be at half the usual price. All activities, lunch and tours are for the voucher holder only

The Cause

Small Steps Project is a children’s charity dealing with the most devastating humanitarian consequence of the global waste problem: child waste pickers.

All over the world thousands of children survive by collecting and recycling rubbish on landfill sites. Deprived of an education, they work when they should be at school and put their lives at risk on a daily basis. Work on the dumps is dirty and dangerous. As well as respiratory and skin diseases, cuts and lacerations to their hands and feet are commonplace and risk of infection is extremely high in the toxic environment.

Small Steps Project provides shoes to protect their feet and support to enable them to take small steps off the dump sites, out of poverty and into education.

To date, Small Steps Project has provided shoes and aid to over 20,000 children thanks to the money raised from shoes, all donated and signed by some of the most famous celebrities in the world.
