And the experience doesn't end here: at the end of the show you will have backstage access and get to meet the creative director of Maryling, Avshalom Gur.

Avshalom Gur is an eclectic, multifaceted and innovative designer who has been at the helm of Maryling for 10 years. He manages a young, dynamic and international brand that fully embraces new ideas. The Maryling offering is for real women, offering beautiful garments created with the highest quality fabrics.
A woman's wardrobe resembles an art collection, comprising clothes and accessories that she loves, wears and that represent her.
The collections are clearly influenced by the world of art. Avshalom Gur often finds inspiration in an element, an artist or a movement. Whether it's Matisse's paper cut-outs, Duchamp's ready-made pieces or Van Gogh's famous sunflowers, the color combinations, shapes and proportions of art are an essential part of the creative process and the ongoing dialogue that art has with fashion.

The experience will take place at 2pm on Wednesday 22 February 2023 in Via San Luca 3, Milan.

To ensure that participants are accredited correctly, name, surname and email address must be received no later than midday on 22 February 2023.

This experience is reserved for a maximum of 10 people. Each participant must purchase a nominal admission.

The Cause

Il terribile terremoto di lunedì 6 febbraio 2023 ha attraversato 10 province del sud della Turchia e ha devastato ampie zone della Siria. Oltre 11.000 edifici sono crollati, inclusi ospedali, scuole e strutture governative. Si contano decine di migliaia di morti e feriti. Dopo le prime 48h di enorme difficoltà nel poter raggiungere le aree più colpite dal sisma, le squadre di soccorso di tutto il mondo sono finalmente diventate operative.

Save the Children è presente in Siria dal 2012 sia dall’inizio dello scoppio del conflitto, attraverso interventi di tutela dei minori in ambito di protezione, istruzione e salute.

L’area colpita dal terremoto ha messo in ginocchio circa 4 milioni di persone che già dipendevano dagli aiuti umanitari per soddisfare le loro esigenze di base. Sono tantissimi i bambini sfollati e tra loro ci sono anche molti separati dai genitori.

In Turchia siamo invece attivi dal 2014, in vari distretti di Istanbul e Hatay con l’obiettivo di portare avanti attività legate all’accesso all’istruzione e alla protezione dell’infanzia, offrire sostegno economico per le famiglie in stato di necessità, sostenere attività volte a migliorare il benessere psicosociale e a favorire la coesione sociale e la sensibilizzazione. Nelle prime ore dell’emergenza, ci siamo coordinati con i partner e il governo per intervenire nelle provincie più colpite di Hatay and Gaziantep, con la priorità di soccorrere i bambini e le famiglie con beni di prima necessità, riparo, indumenti invernali.

In entrambi i Paesi nei prossimi giorni continueremo a rafforzare gli interventi per:

- garantire la distribuzione di tende per ripari temporanei e articoli di emergenza essenziali (coperte, indumenti caldi, stufe, cibo per bambini e pannolini, ecc.);
- fornire contanti alle famiglie che hanno perso la casa e i propri beni per poter acquistare cibo, medicine e altri beni di prima necessità;
- garantire alle famiglie l'accesso all'acqua potabile e agli articoli essenziali per l'igiene e i servizi igienici;
dispiegare le nostre Unità sanitarie di emergenza, un team di operatori sanitari specializzati, per potenziare i servizi sanitari essenziali;
- aiutare a ricongiungere i bambini non accompagnati con le loro famiglie
- fornire sostegno psicologico ai bambini e a chi si prende cura di loro
- attivare Spazi a Misura di Bambino per fornire ai minori delle famiglie sfollate luoghi sicuri e protetti per giocare e per aiutarli ad elaborare i traumi subiti.
