Marcos Amaro (1984) is an entrepreneur, an autodidact, a collector and a Brazilian plastic artist who resides in Brussels. Having studied philosophy—which he considers the fundamental intellectual basis of the process of research that precedes his artistic production—Marcos develops his works, predominantly, with aeronautical objects of medium and large proportions. The matter in its raw state, the decontextualization, the precariousness and deconstruction are the main characteristics of his poetic thought.
Marcos has exhibited in Sao Paolo, Miami, New York, and has been presented in art fairs around the world. A unique drawing, this work provides insight into his interest in automobiles and other raw mechanical materials. His interest in salvaging waste has led to awards from the Salerno Biennial and the Visual Arts Press Awards.
