Take home a series of limited edition glazed prints created by English artist Stuart Luke Gatherer.

These stunning pieces, numbered 8 of 45, offer a modern day twist on Hogarth's A Rake's Progress, depicting I The Heir, II The Levee, III The Orgy, IV The Arrest, V The Marriage, VI The Gaming House, VII The Prison, and, VIII The Madhouse.

Gatherer produces dramatic compositions of figurative art that reflect his debt to the old masters. Gatherer is firmly dedicated to exploring and expressing themes and subjects that are relevent in today's world and his paintings entice the viewer to interact with contemporary scenes from the vantage point of an unseen onlooker. This creates a psychological ambiguity that is emphasised by strong forms and colours modelled in dramatic light and shade.

The Cause

Arts for India has been established with a number of specific aims to support underprivileged young artists in India.

While several philanthropic organizations are working towards education for poor Indian children, most of them are focused on providing basic school level education.

Arts for India lifts disadvantaged young Indian teenagers out of poverty through education in Art, Fashion and Cinema at the college level. Beyond that, they support these students, enabling them to make their contribution to the world of Art, Fashion and Cinema at a global level.

Arts for India runs a 4-year Scholarship Programme, where the donor/sponsor gets the opportunity to sponsor one needy student artist at the International Institute of Fine Arts (IIFA), India. The sponsor is kept in constant touch with the adopted student and at the end of the four years, the student presents four of their works to the sponsor as a token of appreciation and gratitude. We want to play our part in equipping India’s deserving artists of the future.
