The Prize

"Steve Jobs" by Evan Sanks

This painting is part of a series of two representing flawed men who have deep roots in computing history and are often idolized to cultish proportions.

The artists has chosen to represent these figures as a way to allow the viewer to reflect upon the tumultuous history of computing, and take into consideration their contrast to superior modern designs like blockchain, decentralization, and cryptocurrency. As a traditionally trained artist, his work commonly refences historical figures and often invokes them as antiheros; contradictory and juxaposed to the main reference of the artwork.
