The Prize

Enjoy a week away in an Alpine Chalet iin France!

The Chalet is situated at 1350 metres in Les Gets, a pretty village in the French Alps, an hour from Geneva or Chamonix.

It has 3 main bedrooms and sleeps 6 people comfortably, in double beds, or 8 if a small children's room with 2 single beds is used.

There is also a basement room with a sofa bed that can be used as a bedroom, but the maximum number of occupants should be 8.

There is an outdoor terrace with nice views and a BBQ.

Les Gets is a great mountain biking centre in the summer months and also has an excellent golf course, just 5 minutes from the chalet, with other mountain courses in the area.

There is also a large swimming lake, a nearby Morzine which has a large indoor swimming pool and there are also many lovely walks in the area.

*Only available in Summer or Autumn.

The Cause

The Stationers’ Foundation is the education charity of the Worshipful Company of Stationers and Newspaper Makers, the City of London Livery Company for the communication and content industries.

At primary school level, with a focus on literacy, we fund two Saturday Schools in greater London run by Civitas. At secondary school level, we support Stationers’ Crown Woods Academy in SE London, which specialises in digital media.

We also sponsor the annual SHINE Schools Media Awards, where students from across the country win awards for their school magazines and websites.

At further and higher education level, we support a number of apprenticeship initiatives in the media industry and provide postgraduate bursaries for students requiring financial assistance on programmes leading to careers in our industries.

Our aim is to make a difference to the lives of disadvantaged young people, whilst connecting them to the communications and content industries and to the work of our Livery Company.
