Dry-aged steaks are the focus of this upscale Korean chophouse from owner Simon Kim (Piora). Guests can cook their meat over in-table grills and have their choice to select from a prix-fixe option of the Butcher’s Feast, rounded out with lots of sides and ice cream at the end.

The group-friendly setting is accented with dark tones and light woods, and has a central marble bar.

The Cause

Your support of the Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation (SWCRF) Fund a Breakthrough Auctionwill fund cutting-edge cancer research.

The SWCRF is a pioneer in cancer research, and its mission is to eradicate cancer by funding collaborative-based research that identifies and corrects abnormal gene function that causes cancer. This research is the basis for developing minimally toxic treatments for patients.

More than 40 years ago, the SWCRF pioneered the concept of transparent collaboration between cancer scientists across not only research institutes, but also across cancer types. To receive funding from the SWCRF, cancer investigators must be willing to share their findings before being published so their SWCRF colleagues can benefit from shared knowledge in the quest for a cure.

To date, the Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation has awarded approximately $100 million to support the work of more than 200 researchers around the globe.
