"Nudo notturno" by Daidō Moriyama.

Night is a magical time for Moriyama, a place for amazing encounters which stimulate in him a "continuous dialogue between reality and Daido", as the Japanese photographer stated in his 2010 interview.

The young woman who seems to emerge from the darkness is the companion of the night, a soul mate with whom to share a unique and unrepeatable adventure. Now, and Never Again.

Daidō Moriyama (born 1938) is one of the most important living photographers and creator of prestigious monographs. His career began in Tokyo in the sixties, where he is part of the influential Provoke group, which published three of the most innovative post-war Japan photographs.

In a career that spans more than fifty years, Moriyama is perhaps best known for the wild, blurred and grainy style of his black and white shots, which capture the metropolitan experience on the streets of Tokyo and New York. However, he also works with color, Polaroid, serigraphs and installations.

Moriyama's works can be found in the collections of many important museums.
