La Società dei Concerti has been organizing classical music concerts for four decades at the Verdi Hall of the Milan Conservatory, to offer everyone the chance to share the emotions and beauty that come from listening to exceptional soloists, international orchestras and young talented musicians.
Its seasons are named after precious stones - Emerald, Ruby, Sapphire - because each concert represent a brilliant precious stone.
The Rubino series, which takes to the stage at 8.45 pm on Wednesday evenings, from October 26 until June 14 for a total of 11 performances, includes great pianists and symphonic orchestras. The subscription at auction is a reserved seat in the front rows.
Among the pianists are Rudolf Buchbinder, Beethovenian performer par excellence; the legendary Grigory Sokolov; Seong-Jin Cho, winner of the Warsaw Chopin Competition; the Italian star Giuseppe Albanese with Rachmaninov, the Spaniard Javier Perianes; 32-year-old Behzod Abduraimov, defined by the Times as a pianist with the magic touch; the winner of the Antonio Mormone International Award, Ying Li, a Chinese-born pianist who has lived and studied in the USA for years; the Prometeo quartet with Mariangela Vacatello, on the international scene for more than 20 years.
And it doesn't end there: also performing will be 5 orchestras with programs ranging from baroque to unforgettable film soundtracks composed by the great masters.
In addition to the 2022/23 subscription, the winner will receive Ying Li's CD.
