The Prize

This famous and award winning ‘Day of Steam’ is the best way to explore South Devon!

You will both visit the beautiful towns of Paignton, Dartmouth and Totnes travelling on a steam train (c.30 minutes), a river boat (c.90 minutes) and a bus (c.30 minutes).

Sit back and enjoy the scenery and the rest is taken care of by the very friendly Steam Team.

The Cause

The Stationers’ Foundation is the education charity of the Worshipful Company of Stationers and Newspaper Makers, the City of London Livery Company for the communication and content industries.

At primary school level, with a focus on literacy, we fund two Saturday Schools in greater London run by Civitas. At secondary school level, we support Stationers’ Crown Woods Academy in SE London, which specialises in digital media.

We also sponsor the annual SHINE Schools Media Awards, where students from across the country win awards for their school magazines and websites.

At further and higher education level, we support a number of apprenticeship initiatives in the media industry and provide postgraduate bursaries for students requiring financial assistance on programmes leading to careers in our industries.

Our aim is to make a difference to the lives of disadvantaged young people, whilst connecting them to the communications and content industries and to the work of our Livery Company.
